  • Love Island’s Molly-Mae took a break from social media following the death of her puppy.

  • Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury recently moved into a new home and Molly gave fans a tour over the weekend.

Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague returned to social media over the weekend after taking a break following the death of her puppy Mr Chai. The Islander was left heartbroken after the Pomeranian, who was imported from Russia, died due to a series of health issues six days after she got him as a present for her 21st birthday.

After Molly-Mae revealed the sad news online, she faced a backlash from some critics who questioned whether importing a dog was necessary travel during the coronavirus pandemic, and said there are plenty of dogs without homes in the UK. The criticism eventually led her to take a break from social media.

However, Molly-Mae is now back on Instagram and said she’s ready for a “new beginning” as she and Tommy move into their new home.

On Sunday, the Instagram influencer gave her fans a tour of the incredible new pad, which boasts an enormous bathroom and equally big front room. She also shared another picture of a room that was filled with unpacked boxes, which she captioned “although this is reality right now”. Writing on her Instagram Stories, Molly said:

“I don’t want to dwell on the last couple of weeks but what I do want to say is thank you. Thank you to every single person who has sent me such thoughtful messages asking me how I am and making sure I’m okay, it has meant the world to me. I’ve enjoyed a much needed break from my phone but I’m back now and ready to get stuck into some really exciting things I have coming up.”

As she showed her 4.2 million followers around the marble bathroom, she added: “Also had a much needed change of location. Didn’t realise how much I needed a fresh start… “
